'' The OMDP Business Management Skills Certificate will help you meet your career goals by providing you with management training needed to run your business successfully. The courses emphasize the skills needed to run a business effectively and efficiently. You learn basic, fundamental principles - not theories.
Course fees include the course material. Students are advised to take their Admit-To-Class form to the campus bookstore to pick up their material. Students should obtain their material for the first evening/day of their class.
Note: Students are advised to take an OMDP Communications course first.
OMDP Business Management Skills Certificate criteria: Satisfactory completion of six courses: two compulsory courses, two certificate electives and two general electives (any other two OMDP or non-OMDP courses not previously taken). Students must attend 80 per cent of the classes (three and one-half of the four days for the Saturday class, and eight of ten sessions for the evening classes).
Duplication of courses between the Leadership Skills Certificate program 08161 and the Business Management Skills Certificate program 08071 is not permitted, except for the OMDP 102 Communications and OMDP 103 Human Relations courses.
Note: OMDP courses and application for certification must be completed within 10 years.
