'' Visual Basic is a programming language developed by Microsoft, which represents a conceptually different approach to programming, called event-driven programming. This four-credit course will guide the student through many aspects of Visual Basic programming, from simple forms to more complex Windows applications. This course introduces the concept of interfacing the Graphical User Interface (GUI) with the application programs. The most recent release of Visual Basic is .NET 2005. It is part of the .NET family of Microsoft products and is truly object-oriented.
