Humber’s program was the first in Ontario to provide formal educational preparation for occupational therapist assistants and physiotherapist assistants. Students learn to assist in the implementation of plans and programs developed to promote clients’ activities. Areas of focus include occupational performance and enabling clients to effectively cope with their limitations in movement, daily functioning and activity.
