Course Description:

'' Become a successful web page designer or online content developer. Humber’s unique project-based approach leads participants through the entire web design and development process - including the creation of online rich media applications. Class size is limited to 24 students, so apply early!

Students build static and dynamic websites utilizing the most current versions of industry standard applications: Dreamweaver, Flash, Fireworks, Flash Media Server 2, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Students also learn: XHTML, PHP, ActionScript, and JavaScript - the scripting and programming languages that drive the web.

They learn to prepare line art and graphic images for the web and build databases that feed text, images, sounds and video onto websites. Students then develop and build a number of sophisticated projects including a fully functioning e-commerce solution, and a personal, dynamic website where content can be instantly updated. Rich media flash sites are created that utilize dynamic content and streaming media. The program wraps up with students presenting their professional portfolios to faculty, peers and industry professionals.

Note: Application for this program is made directly to the Digital Imaging Training Centre - not to the Ontario College Application Service (OCAS). There is no application fee. This program is not OSAP eligible.

Humber is the only Canadian institution listed on the Adobe website as an authorized training centre.
