The Adventure Tourism Diploma Program is an exciting and rewarding educational program and here’s why:

Successful graduates will possess the skills and knowledge required to obtain employment in the adventure tourism industry.
The diploma offers graduates invaluable exposure to and certification in many outdoor skills. Some examples of the areas are: Ocean Kayaking, Avalanche Awareness, Wilderness First Aid and River Rafting.
Direct industry contact with existing companies gives the students firsthand knowledge of operational techniques and strategies such as planning, staff training and risk management and the most important beginnings of networking.
Successful graduates learn specialized skills from industry experts while enjoying the outdoor opportunities and challenging experiences of field-based studies on rivers, ocean, snow and land.

Adventure Tourism Diploma: September to May - 34 weeks

Fall Semester: September - December

Winter Semester: January - May

The Adventure Tourism Program continues to lead the tourism field in preparing graduates for the work they want. Advanced leadership models and our unique style of instruction provide students not only with skills and experience but with valuable perspectives on themselves. As a result, the program is an excellent opportunity for students who wish to expand individual awareness and advance toward personal goals.

Both Fall and Winter semesters must be completed along with an industry work placement in order to obtain the Adventure Tourism Diploma. Students may start the program in either semester or if student prefers, the semesters may be completed on an individual basis. By completing both semesters and the work experience students will gain numerous advantages for certification and an increased level of outdoor skills.
