It is important that those interested in a career in this sector have a good basic understanding of the Tourism Industry. Due to the attraction of studying in Vancouver & Canada and because of the diversity in ethnic backgrounds, many students enrolling in tourism training programs have English as a Second Language. Students may be unfamiliar with Canadian culture, methods of instruction and the day-today interaction with Canadian students in a training institute like Canadian Tourism College.

The English for Tourism Certificate program is designed to provide students with background information on the Tourism Industry in Vancouver and Canada. This program will provide you the confidence as a student to continue your education in some of the more comprehensive and in-depth programs at the College like the Travel & Tourism Advanced Diploma, the Flight Attendant Pre-Employment Diploma Program, the Hotel and Resort Management Diploma or the Adventure Tourism Diploma just to name a few. This program will help you to become familiar with the teaching methods used in Canadian colleges in an adult learning environment.
