'' The outcome of this course will be to train students in the requirements of Standard AS/NZS 3760 - In-service safety inspection and testing of electrical equipment. This training will give learners the skills required of a competent person in accordance with the Electrical Safety Regulation 2002.
Study area Engineering, Automotive and Mining
Entry requirements Entry into this Training Product will be limited to those employed or intending to be employed to carry out testing and tagging procedures on a routine basis so that currency of competency is maintained.
This program only allows the participants to test and tag their own or company’s equipment. This program does not allow participants to test and tag other people or company’s equipment. Students are to apply to the Electrical Safety Office for a work permit before they can commence study.
Career possibilities Upon completion of this course the learner will receive a recognised statement of attainment, to carry out functions to test and tag in-service electrical equipment. This meets the requirements of a competent person as specified by the Electrical Safety Regulation QLD (2002).
