'' This qualification provides students with skills and knowledge in maintenance and repair of instruments, measuring devices and associated equipment in workshops and laboratories. Content areas covered include: concepts of instrumentation; pressure; density/level; fluid flow; temperature; instrument drawings; process control principles and systems; transmitters and converters.
This program has been designed for persons who require a process instrumentation trade qualification with a restricted electrical license. This program provides students with knowledge of basic electrical principles and measurement control principles used by industries that require specialists within the process instrumentation field. Students receive theoretical and practical training in all aspects of process control and instrumentation via laboratory classroom lessons.

Entry requirements This course is an apprenticeship. Completion of Year 10 or equivalent is recommended.
School leavers must have completed year 12 or equivalent with a Sound Achievement in English, Mathematics and Physics. You must be employed as an apprentice/trainee and must have signed a Registered Training Contract as an apprentice/trainee to be eligible to undertake training in this program.
