'' This qualification provides a comprehensive skills base for the responsible operation and maintenance of recreational vessels including coxswain, basic engineering, business management and voyage planning competencies. Enterprise situations within the recreational vessels industry include repair and construction, marina, charter and slipway operations. Study area Engineering, Automotive and Mining Entry requirements There are no mandatory pre-requisites to the program, although basic math, English and problem solving skills are desired. This qualification is targeted to school leavers, existing workers, Certificate I and II Engineering graduates or unemployed persons. Entry to this qualification is usually through an indenture as an apprentice. Career possibilities Graduates of the program are recognised by industry as boat building tradespersons and are entitled to the awards and conditions that apply. Graduates may further their studies into Certificate IV Engineering or Boating Services studies. ...''
