'' This qualification is designed to provide training in Plumbing and services work activities occurring in water, sanitation, drainage, irrigation, roofing, and mechanical, fire and gas services. Training also included is installing pipework, testing and maintaining pipes, fixtures, gas meters and regulators, and installing pumps, gas appliances, water tanks, water heaters and water heating systems.
This program is intended for employment in the plumbing or services sector of the construction industry. The emphasis of this program is to develop skills and ability to perform tasks using hand and power tools associated with the roughing in of water supply and fit off to appliances and fixtures and with the installation of sanitary plumbing pipe work.
