'' This course has been prepared by industry representatives from all states/territories of Australia and is managed and maintained by the National Water Industry Steering Group (NWISG). Certificate II (Traineeship) provides a competency-based qualification for water or wastewater treatment operators using standard treatment processes. It is also pre-requisite for entry into Certificate III in Water Industry Operations. Students in this program will study a range of topics including workplace health and safety, environmental principles and the fundamental technology of water and wastewater treatment. Study area Agriculture, Horticulture and Environment Entry requirements There are no special entry requirements Year 10 Mathematics and Science are strongly recommended. You must be employed as a trainee and must have signed a Registered Training Contract to be eligible to undertake training in this program.
