Course Description:

'' The Master of Sports Management is accepting applications for admission in 2008 and will include a selection of core subjects taken within the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine, e.g. Player Management in Professional Sport and Sports Event Management and a selection of subjects taken in the Faculty of Law, e.g. Sports Law, Negotiation and in the Faculty of Business Technology and Sustainable Development e.g. Asset and Facilities Management and Financial Planning. The final selection of the subjects for the Master of Sports Management will be determined in consultation with the applicant and the Course Convenor so as to meet the graduate outcomes.

Career Outcomes
Graduates are expected to find employment as sport managers and find employment in a broad spectrum of settings within such sectors as professional sports, sports media, sporting events, corporate sponsorship, sporting goods, legal, financial and management sport services, sports facilities, sports entertainment, sports organisation, industry resources, sports education and training and academic institutions.

Work Experience & Internships
Included within the degree program is one professional experience component where students apply their learning to sports management industries.

This intensely practical professional development approach fosters graduates who are ready, willing and able to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact in the workplace.

Attendance
Most students undertake four subjects per semester* (equivalent to 40 credit points). You may, however, enrol in fewer subjects and extend your degree over a longer period.

Bond’s Teaching methodology involves a combination of lectures, tutorials, seminars, examinations, projects, presentations, assignments, computer labs and industry projects.

* Australian students enrolled in three or more subjects may be eligible to claim Austudy benefits. International students are required to study a minimum of 30 credit hours (three subjects equivalent) per semester to fulfil Australian study visa requirements.
