'' This introductory course attempts to provide management-oriented MIS, MIT, and MBA students a broad understanding of security issues. As such this course does not take a hard computer science point of view. To do so would be inappropriate for the type of student for which this course is designed. The student of this course will not go out and develop neither new encryption algorithms nor fire-wall-filtering processes. However, to frame the approach of this course, students should realise that corporations currently propel their e-commerce with windows-based systems. Recognition of this fact requires a security focus on those issues and solutions that are most prevalent, the state of affairs most likely to be evidenced in government and industry enterprises today. Furthermore, this course requires a not insignificant student effort to address ethics.
