The program will equip you with a sophisticated understanding of the complex and changing economic, social and political contexts in which the arts and cultural sectors operate, the role of leadership, and the strategic research and management expertise necessary for successful cultural leaders.

The Cultural Leadership programs incorporates personal leadership assessment, reflection and enquiry, opportunities for professional networking, and workshops conducted by leading guest speakers to introduce participants to a particular institution, policy context or leadership challenge.

Multidisciplinary courses incorporate current developments, trends and theory in order to ensure that learnings are practical and immediately applicable.

Discussions with cultural institutions and organisations of significance in Australia and North America have ensured that the curriculum addresses the key issues around professional practice and cultural leadership. Students will be placed with these, and other, organisations as part of the professional practice component of the degree.
