'' The Master of Public Health (incorporating the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma) is a unique postgraduate degree that prepares health professionals from a broad range of backgrounds with knowledge and skills from a variety of disciplines to define, assess critically and resolve public health problems.
Attendance On-Campus The Master of Public Health is offered full-time and part-time on campus at the South bank campus. You will be classed as a part-time student if you are enrolled in less than 40 credit points per semester. International students must maintain a full-time study load. Students enrolling in the Research component of the Master of Public Health are required to complete coursework and a dissertation. Coursework: You are required to attend approximately 3 hours of scheduled classes per week per course. Classes are scheduled from 5 p.m. to accommodate students in full-time employment unavailable to attend classes during the day.
Dissertation: During your enrolment in the dissertation component of this program, it is expected that you will be able to work independently for most of the time. The requirement for on-campus attendance is relatively flexible and unstructured. However, you will be required to meet regularly with your supervisor and it is recommended that you discuss the on-campus attendance requirements with your supervisor at the start of the dissertation.
External Full-Time The Master of Public Health is offered in full-time external mode, which means that there is no requirement for on-campus attendance. You will be provided course materials via a variety of means, including printed materials and via Learning@Griffith. You are required to use the internet or other electronic media during your enrolment in this program and access to a reliable computer with internet connection is required. Students who undertake the program on a full-time basis, enrol in 40credit points per semester.
Part-Time The Master of Public Health is offered in part-time external mode, which means that there is no requirement for on-campus attendance. You will be provided course materials via a variety of means, including printed materials and via Learning@Griffith. You are required to use the internet or other electronic media during your enrolment in this program and access to a reliable computer with internet connection is required. Students who undertake the program on a part-time basis, enrol in 20 credit points per semester. If it suits you, some courses may be taken at the campus.
