Course Description:
'' The Master of Nutrition and Dietetics program aims to:
prepare graduate students at the appropriate tertiary level to meet Dietitian Association of Australia (DAA) national competency standards for entry into the profession as a dietitian; and
develop graduate competencies relevant to existing and emerging practice areas and workforce needs; and
actively involve the nutrition and dietetic profession in developing, delivering and evaluating the program.

Students who complete the first year of the masters program and wish to exit will be eligible for the award of Graduate Diploma of Nutrition.
Professional recognition
The Master of Nutrition and Dietetics is fully accredited by the Dietitians�Association of Australia enabling graduates to become professional members of Australia’s peak nutrition professional association and work as an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD).
Graduates from the Graduate Diploma of Nutrition will be eligible to become Associate members of the Dietitians Association of Australia and full members of the Nutrition Society of Australia.
Career opportunities
Graduates will find employment in a range of roles in a range of sectors. These roles will include work as a dietitian/nutritionist in private and public hospitals (masters graduates only), community health services, health promotion and public health units and/or in private practice. Opportunities have grown considerably for entrepreneurial dietitians working on a consulting basis to the food and pharmaceutical industries.
