'' Policy development, including policy writing, is an important component for articulating and defining the objectives and obligations of an organisation, and how the organisation will achieve these in various circumstances. It is not the same as planning and setting strategic goals, but good policies are needed to underpin the behaviours required to ensure that long-term goals are met. This workshop will look at the policy development cycle, and the drafting/writing process. It will cover planning and organising as well as the principles of clear writing, and participants will be involved in a practical exercise.
