Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters
The graduate certificate, graduate diploma and Masters programs integrate writing and critical thinking skills into the courses which are of particular benefit to candidates who have had a break from studying and candidates from overseas. These programs will provide advanced knowledge in a range of areas of plant biotechnology including molecular plant breeding, plant functional genomics, applications of plant biotechnology and management, commercialisation and regulation of plant biotechnology.
The Master of Biotechnology (Plant Biotechnology) combines advanced coursework with a research component, the culmination of which involves the preparation of a manuscript for publication. The manuscripts will be published in an annual School of Agriculture and Wine journal, thus all Masters candidates will graduate with at least one publication of their original research project. The programs will be structured as a progressive series of short courses. This allows flexibility for candidates to build up the course requirements for their chosen program.
