Course Description:

'' The Doctor of Project Management is designed to provide the opportunity for graduate students to develop the

operational capabilities to manage projects of all kinds,
research capabilities to undertake doctoral level studies into selected areas of the discipline, and
ability to disseminate the research findings to the general and professional communities.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have completed one of the following qualifications for entry into the program;

Applicants should have completed the requirements for, a course work Master of Project Management degree from the University of South Australia with a GPA of 5 or better, or equivalent; or
an award which, in the opinion of the Postgraduate Project Management Committee, is at least equivalent to that degree or partial degree with a GPA of 5 or better; or
other qualifications and professional experience judged by the Postgraduate Project Management Committee to provide a preparation for study equivalent to that provided above;
AND

Is, in the opinion of the Postgraduate Project Management Committee, a suitable candidate.
In addition, International students who speak English as a foreign language must have obtained one of the following standards within the last two years prior to admission:

International English Language Testing System (IELTS): test - band 6; or TOEFL 550;
or previous successful secondary or tertiary study where English was the language of instruction.

Content/structure
The program requires the completion of the coursework Masters of Project Management (48 units) and comprises the development of a proposal and the successful completion of a doctoral level research project. It consists of 108 units of total study (48 units for the Masters by coursework plus 60 units of Research) and has been structured to be completed over three years full time (or part time equivalent), study. Entry is via the successful completion of the existing course work for the Master of Project Management.
