'' In this 2 day program, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to allow them to create professional and graphically rich documents such as newsletters or brochures using Adobe InDesign.



You will learn to

Ø Create documents, work with tools, document windows, the pasteboard and palettes

Ø Change the magnification of the document

Ø Navigate through a document

Ø Work with layers

Ø Manage palettes and save your workspace

Ø Create, edit and apply master pages

Ø Set document defaults

Ø Adjust pasteboard size and bleed area

Ø Add sections to change page numbering

Ø Override master page items on document pages

Ø Add graphics and text to document pages

Ø Resize and reshape text and graphic frames

Ø Scale and move a graphic within its frame

Ø Wrap text around an object

Ø Align graphic objects to each other

Ø Flow text manually and automatically

Ø Load and apply styles from another document

Ø Add colours to the Swatches patch and apply colours to objects

Ø Create and apply a gradient swatch

Ø Create a tint and a spot colour

Ø Create and apply object, character and paragraph styles



What skills you need

The ability to work in the Windows environment and using the mouse is essential.
