Course Description:

'' In this 2 day program, participants will gain the knowledge and skills to allow them to modify digital camera images and scanned photographs or artwork. Participants will be able to combine images, adjust image colour and retouch photographs.



You will learn to

Ø Identify the attributes of raster and vector graphics, customise the Photoshop environment, open and magnify images

Ø Use several selection tools to select image areas and to modify and manipulate selections

Ø Create, arrange and transform layers, create Type layers and use opacity, layer blending modes and styles to apply effects to layer contents

Ø Switch among Photoshop’s image modes, adjust an image’s hue and saturation, use the Levels command to adjust image contrast

Ø Repair image defects, paint and image erase complex background areas and apply filters to a layer or selection

Ø Determine an image’s resolution and dimensions, resize images and use the Crop tool and the Canvas Size command to change an image’s canvas size

Ø Save a copy of an image optimised for Web use or save a copy of an image in a format suitable for printing



What skills you need

The ability to work in the Windows environment and use a mouse.
