Course Description:

'' This course is for new users of MYOB accounting software who wish to set up their business files correctly. Participants will learn how to set up a company file for their company and how to set up the relevant accounts, tax codes, card files and inventory items. This course aims to ensure the integrity of participants’ financial information by giving them the skills and knowledge to correctly lay the foundations of their company files



You will learn to

Ø Understand basic accounting terms and concepts

Ø Navigate within MYOB Accounting

Ø Create a new company file for their business

Ø Transfer all of their key financial information across into MYOB accounting software to create a company file.

Ø Understand how an MYOB company file is structured, and be able to fix errors and create adjustments

Ø Set up the Accounts List

Ø Create cards for customer, supplier and employee records

Ø Set up linked inventory items

Ø Enter opening and historical balances

Ø Perform an Initial Bank Reconciliation

Ø Back up and restore company files



What skills you need

Basic PC experience is required. However no prior MYOB experience is assumed.
