'' This course expands upon the skills learnt in the Electus HTML Introduction course. By focussing in greater detail on the use of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) in the construction of a website.



The student will learn how to build websites that are:

Search engine friendly
Easier to maintain
Have faster loading times
Have increased accessibility across multiple platforms


You will learn to

Ø Understand the importance of separating content (HTML) from presentation (CSS)

Ø Write clean, accessible HTML that is easier to maintain

Ø Create external and embedded CSS style sheets

Ø Use CSS to style:

· HTML text elements (headings, paragraphs, lists etc)

· HTML tables

· HTML links and navigation

· Images

· Whole blocks of content

Ø Create custom CSS styles

Ø Create basic (table-less) layouts using CSS
