The AGSO is achieved through passing Global Securities Operations (Module 1) and Advanced Global Securities Operations (Module 2). If you have already passed Module 1as part of the IAQâ„? you are exempt from this module.

1) Who should sit the AGSO?
The AGSO is aimed at individuals working in operations or administration, who wish to develop their professional and technical skills as operations financial services specialists.
2) How much study is involved?
The recommended study time for Global Securities Operations is 70 hours. For Advanced Global Securities Operations it is 80 - 100 hours.
3) What are the pass marks?
The pass mark for Global Securities Operations is 70%. For Advanced Global Securities Operations it is 50%.
4) Do I need any prior qualifications to sit the AGSO?
There are no formal pre-requisites for the programme. However, it is recommended that delegates have:
Completed the IAQâ„?
OR
Completed one of the SII Certificate in Investments
OR
Hold a qualification recognised by the SII as equivalent
OR
Have industry experience at a comparable level (the SII advises that candidates have at least 18 months industry experience before embarking on this qualification)
