'' This seminar will update and extend your ABC/ABM know-how, so that you can develop a credible approach to activity-based costing and activity-based management that wins the confidence of managers and staff; directly influences management decisions at strategic, tactical and operational levels of the organisation, and delivers tangible benefits to the organisation.

Learning outcomes include obtaining a greater understanding of:

Generating the vision and commitment that will guide the development of ABC/ABM in your organisation
ABC/ABM - how to develop an activity database; define, classify and quantify activities, cost drivers, cost objects and business processes; design an ABC model of the business; use a time-based approach to deliver ABC/ABM efficiently on an ongoing basis; use your ABC/ABM model to develop a driver-based approach to budgeting, planning and control
How leading edge organisations have gained extensive benefits from ABC/ABM by using it to improve business processes to six sigma standard; identify the true profitability of customers and channels, as well as products and services; develop rolling forecasts and enhance management reporting and budgeting to improve accountability, planning and control; reduce non-value adding activities and re-balance the mix of business activities to improve productivity; simulate the resource impact of alternative strategic and tactical options
Getting started - including a review of rapid prototyping, an accelerated approach to project start-up, plus a review of the ABC/ABM software that is available
