'' The ACCA diploma in International Financial Reporting is designed for qualified professional accountants (qualified through ACCA or other CCAB body) and auditors working in practice and industry. It aims to develop knowledge of the concepts and principles of IFRS and their application in the international marketplace.
Objectives
On completion of the Diploma candidates should be able to:
explain the international regulatory framework of financial reporting discuss and apply specified International Accounting Standards and International Financial Reporting Standards to practical situations prepare financial statements in accordance with specified International Accounting Standards, International Financial Reporting Standards and International Financial Reporting Interpretations Committee (IFRIC) pronouncements prepare group financial statements including subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures BPP has a unique programme designed to help you succeed.
Combining our market leading three day IFRS programme (IFRS Introduction and Advanced courses) followed by a two-day diploma preparation programme, BPP provides the right combination of practical experience and guidance to ensure you succeed. Our IFRS Introduction and Advanced courses occur throughout the year at locations around the country. The two-day preparation programme is only available in London and occurs in March and November to allow adequate preparation time before the examination sittings.
Assessment
Examination sittings occur in June and December. Candidates must register with the ACCA and there is a registration fee required by ACCA. For further information and details about how to register with ACCA visit www.acca.org.uk/members/qualifications/dipifr.
CPD Units for ACCA members
ACCA members may claim up to 30 verifiable units of continuing professional development (CPD) for studying for the DipIFR and a further 12 hours of verifiable units upon successful completion of the assessment. Additional verifiable units of CPD (in excess of 21 verifiable units) can be carried forward to the following year.
