'' Business Combinations in the form of mergers, acquitions and alliances are ingrained in the business community, both domestic and global. The urge to merge is a global phenomenon. However empirical studies show that a large number of combinations fail to satisy their participants expectations. To implement successfully merger and acquisition activities have to be organized in logical sequence of planning, comprising the development of a business plan and identifying where and how the firm chooses to compete; and implementation comprising search, screen, first contact, negotiation, integration planning and closing as well as post merger integration and evaluation.
