The PELT Cert TESOL covers the same content as the 4-week TESOL Certificate but is flexible in its delivery. Course content can be divided into 5 areas:

Your course begins with 40 hours of training with one of our teacher trainers where you will be introduced to the concepts and context of teaching English. This initial session will also cover:

Theatre Techniques
Peer & Observed Teaching Skills
During this stage of the course you will be guided through the process of planning, preparation, delivery and reflection of a lesson and be given feedback on your performance at each stage.

Teaching Practice

Once you have successfully completed the first 40 hours of training you are ready to start your teaching practice. Some trainees choose to take their teaching practice where they are doing their course; others want to teach refugees or immigrants at a local community centre or school. Wherever you want to do your practice, we work with you in finding a suitable location for this part of the course.
