Learn expert-tested troubleshooting tools, techniques and procedures for TCP/IP networks and practice them using the Sniffer protocol analyzer.

What You Will Learn

To work through IP addressing problems
To create a simple network map given frames from the Sniffer
To identify normal, slow and problematic TCP conversations
The use of ICMP messages to isolate and describe network problems
Describe at a high level what the common application layer protocols look like on the network
Describe troubleshooting methodologies given different network problem-scenarios
TCP/IP Troubleshooting Using the Network Associates Sniffer
