'' Cisco? CallManager MCS boot camp teaches students how to integrate Cisco AVVID (Architecture for Voice, Video and Integrated Data) into a network to meet voice and data requirements. Extensive practical labs offer additional opportunities to learn by providing exercises to select, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco IP telephony products such as Cisco CallManager 4.0, Cisco VG 248, Catalyst? 6000 + DSP resources + digital line cards, Cisco Emergency Responder, Cisco IOS? gatekeeper, and Media Gateway Control Protocol (MGCP), H.323, and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) gateways.
Course Objectives
After completing this course the student should be able to:
Given a topology, upgrade a Cisco CallManager Publisher to version 4.0 and add CallManager Subscribers to form a cluster for redundancy Add Cisco IP phones 7905, 7920, 7960 using the Bulk Administration Tool and add Softphone to the configuration Learn and use CallManager troubleshooting tools Add media resources to share with CallManagers in a cluster Add MGCP, H.323, SIP, and T1 gateways to the network Create a dial plan to make calls intra- and inter-pod over inter-cluster trunks (gatekeeper, non-gatekeeper, and SIP controlled), and public switched telephone network (PSTN) Analyze call detail records and reports Add users, connect to voice mail, and configure Multi-Level Precedence and Preemption (MLPP) with Annunciator Verify Cisco Emergency Responder and update the dial plan for emergency E-911 calls Course Outline
