Course Description:

'' The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is the leading professional body for human resources professionals in the UK. This is one of the CIPD Elective courses, covering topics such as retention of employees and facilitating change. You can choose to study this course plus three other Electives to be awarded Licentiateship of the Institute or, alternatively, you can study individual Electives as part of your Continuous Professional Development.

This course replaces Core Management and brings this field of the Professional Development Scheme (PDS) into line with the rest of the CIPD’s PDS professional standards. Focussing on excellence in people’s attitudes, commitments and achievements, you’ll discover how to make a contribution to the survival of your organisation’s profits and meet both its visions and strategic goals.

On successful completion of your exams you will gain CIPD Licentiateship and a Post Graduate Certificate.

Pre-requisites
This graduate qualification should be studied in the order of Leadership and Management, People Management and Development/Applied Personnel and Development and the Electives.

To commence this post-graduate level course, you must have either:

2 years’ management experience
A degree
3 A Levels
Certificate in Personnel Practice
NQF Level 4 or above award
You may be entitled to exemptions; evidence of prior qualifications will be required.

You will be required to take part in a telephone interview prior to release of study material. This is requested by CIPD.

Assessment

Each course includes a number of assessments that you complete as part of your coursework and then forward to your tutor for grading and comments. You’ll also be required to sit exams at an authorised testing centre near you.

This qualification also requires you to successfully complete the following:

Two 3 day residential workshops (central UK location; accommodation fees not included)
4 assignments
2 hour examination for each module (local venue)
Please note CIPD membership, exam and workshop fees are additional to course fees.
