'' Apparel production & Merchandising Management is 1 1/2 year intensive PG Program introduced at School of fashion Technology to meet the growing needs of Indian Apparel Industry. The program is structured keeping in view the requirements of apparel industry. The aim of the course is to train young professionals in production, quality and merchandising management, hence is ultimately aimed at a up gradation of the existence industry to international standards through these professionals.
APMM is designed to train students who strive to excel in understanding and integrating areas of production and merchandising. In a measured combination of theory and practice, the APMM department aims at developing a truly global trend oriented perspective for its students. The course aims to enable students in gauging trends effectively and introduce effectively and introduce efficient systems. Also, to contribute to the overall objective of strategic thinking, modern merchandising practices, changing trends of fashion industry, increasing productivity, minimize controllable waste & meet the quality standards. It is a perfect blend of merchandising and marketing, retailing, export marketing, design application, machine engineering, textile technology, science of pattern making with design aesthetics, production planning and quality management.
