'' Introduction to the Russian language. Includes Cyrillic alphabet, greetings, gender, readings, communications, and activities.

Performance Objectives:

Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to do the following:

Read, write, and speak simple words and phrases.
Express formal and informal modes of address.
Recite gender differences using pronouns, nouns, and adjectives.
Discuss present tense situations, Russian states, people, language, and customs.
Express situations using verbs, prepositional and accusative cases.
Express verbs of motion and the cases required by these verbs.

Names of people, cities, and countries
Greetings
Formal and informal modes of address
Prepositional case-singular
Absence of the verb "to be" in the present tense
Gender
Simple grammar and spelling rules

Adjectives and pronouns
Readings
Conjugation of simple verbs - present tense
