'' Developing for the J2EE Web Tier: Servlets and Java Server Pages dives into development of enterprise-class web applications, preparing you to build Web applications using the latest Java technologies and frameworks. You will learn how to design, build, test and configure Web applications using Servlets, JSP
and related technologies, with a strong focus on using these technologies in the Model-View-Controller (MVC or Model II) design idiom, including working with Struts, the primary MVC framework for building Java Web Applications. All aspects of JSP will be covered.

You will write simple JSPs, write and use JavaBeans, learn how to use tag libraries and the JSP Standard Tag Library (JSTL), and learn how to write JSP tags using the latest JSP 2.0 tag APIs. Data access and efficient state management are covered, including JDBC and HTTP session management. You will also learn how to internationalize Java applications, how HTTP supports internationalization, and how to use JSLT to internationalize your web application.

Finally, you will learn how to managed web application security using HTTPS and the Java Servlet security model.
