Training Course:Java2 Enterprise EditionSchool/Trainer:DevelopMentor Atlanta, Bellevue, Boston, Chicago, London, Los Angeles, New York, Orlando, United States
Course Format: Classroom | E-learning | Virtual Class | Online | On-site | Blended | Self-paced
Course Description:
'' Essential J2EE introduces the Web service programming model enabled by HTTP, XML, Servlets, JSP, and EJB. It focuses on how these technologies can be used together to build Web-based distributed systems that are not necessarily tied to a browser, and that scale in the face of many concurrent users. Emphasis is placed on understanding and expanding the underlying protocols used to facilitate both client-to-server and server-to-server communications. You will learn how to build server-side code that executes as Servlets and Java Server Pages (JSP). XML will be discussed extensively, with particular emphasis on how it can be used to facilitate communications between software components running on different tiers of your web application. All aspects of accessing data and managing state efficiently are covered, including JDBC and transactions. You will be introduced to the declarative programming model of EJB and see how it uses interposition to provide runtime services aimed at helping components manage their state. You will become aware of the issues that arise when mixing transactional programming, distribution and classic object-orientation, and which features really aid scalability.
Upon completion of this course, you will leave with the skill to design and build n-tier applications in Java. You will understand how to use the primary Java server components: Servlets, JSPs, and EJBs. In addition, you will know how to interact with the various services that support these components: JDBC, security, and transactions. You will also be prepared to use Java to take advantage of XML and XSLT. Finally, you will know which tool is appropriate for which task, and how to combine them all to build a distributed system in Java.
