Course Description:
'' This course provides a thorough introduction to Pixologic’s ZBrush, the state-of-the-art sculpting and painting tool used by many movie and game studios. ZBrush enables you to sculpt geometry of over 10 million polygons and use intuitive sculpting techniques without the tedious vertex pushing of older 3D applications.
In this class, you’ll gain familiarity with ZBrush’s unique interface and learn human and creature anatomy sculpting techniques, costume creation and how to generate spectacular normal, color, specularity and bump maps. We’ll also cover stencils and digital painting, as well as integration of ZBrush with Photoshop, Painter, 3ds Max and Maya. Students are encouraged to bring in their own models from these or other 3D applications, and learn how to integrate ZBrush into their production pipeline.

Anyone who wants to learn digital sculpting and painting with ZBrush.
Credit Offered
This course qualifies for Stanford University Continuing Studies credit.
Prerequisites
Basic experience using a Macintosh or Windows-based PC.
