'' Apple Shake course with expert Keith English. The world of high-end compositing for motion picture visual effects is propelled by Apple’s Shake. In fact, for the past seven years, Apple’s Shake® compositing software has played a crucial role in every film winning the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, including this year for “Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.�
This hands-on class is perfect for creative professionals who want to upgrade their special effects toolkit, aspiring feature film effects gurus or teens who want to experience how the pros in Hollywood make movies.

You will start with a tour of the interface, identifying the purposes of the primary work areas, their use and how to navigate through them. After a thorough grounding in the interface and the planning process, you will explore the many different nodes and their application in compositing multilayer images into special effects magic.

While learning how to navigate this powerful tool, you will also spend time editing your own special effects piece just like the pros in Hollywood. Professional-level source files will be provided to make this a truly incredible experience.

Prerequisites
Extensive experience using a Macintosh (OS X preferred) or Windows based PC. While this is an introductory course, the pace will be brisk and the topic is advanced.
