Course Description:
'' The key to successfully deploying IPv6 services is the ability to integrate with the existing IPv4 infrastructure and, therefore, to migrate customers and applications seamlessly. Cisco’s IPv6 deployment solution enables this integration by providing services such as protocol translation between IPv6 and IPv4 networks, which preserves full IP access to Internet services as IPv6 is rolled out. Cisco also enables integration with Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS), which allows service providers to offer IPv6 access to their customers with minimal upgrades to their existing infrastructure.
Objectives:
Beyond basic IPv6 integration, there are many IPv6 deployment strategies that satisfy a range of customer and network requirements. Your selection of a deployment strategy will depend on the current network environment and on factors such as the forecasted amount of IPv6 traffic and the availability of IPv6 applications on end systems. In this course, you will examine common IPv6 deployment issues, such as multihoming, connecting to the IPv6 Internet, managing IPv6 services, and IPv6 troubleshooting strategies. You will then examine how to deploy IPv6 in SP and enterprise environments.
