'' In this course you will explore the DSL technologies, the variations of DSL, the standard organizations and forums that promote DSL, and the xDSL architecture. You will compare splitter and splitterless technology, and examine xDSL operations components and xDSL modulation components. You will also review Internet access methods, examine Video on Demand, explore how to select the appropriate xDSL technology for an environment, and review xDSL service issues. You will review equipment considerations, DSL deployment strategies, and copper infrastructure concerns. Finally, you will review the major xDSL service vendors, review crosstalk and attenuation solutions, explore radio frequency interference and noise filters, and xDSL worldwide deployment and marketing strategies.
Objectives: After completing this course you will be able to identify DSL technologies and the organizations and forums that support the industry. You will be able to define the difference between a splitter and splitterless technology, and identify xDSL operations components and modulation components.
