'' This intensive 5-day course explores the development opportunities with Microsoft Office 2007 with a focus on SharePoint Products and Technologies. You will learn how Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 (WSS) plays a central role as an extensible platform for building sites-based business solutions. This course will teach you how to customize and brand WSS sites as well as how to extend them with collaboration services, Web Parts, Content Types, event handlers and custom workflows. The course will also show you how to use and extend the portal and web content management features of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS) as well as other server-side components such as the Business Data Catalog, Forms Services, Excel Server and Report Center . Along the way, you will also learn how to extend Office 2007 client applications with Visual Studio Tools for Office V3 and how to leverage the new Office Open XML File formats by writing WSS event handlers that read, modify and generate Office documents.

Prerequisites
Attendees should have professional development experience with Visual Studio 2005, the .NET framework and ASP.NET as well as familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel. It is also recommended (but not required) that attendees have a background with previous version of Windows SharePoint Services V2 and have experience working directly with XML files in Visual Studio 2005.
