'' Learn about IBM Tivoli Usage and Accounting Manager (ITUAM) Version 6.1.

ITUAM 6.1 provide enterprises with the software you need to take charge of your Information Technology (IT) infrastructure costs. The ITUAM software measures, analyzes, reports, and bills the utilization and costs of different computing resources within the target environment. In this course, learn the skills needed to implement and administer a set of Chargeback policies such as, account code conversion, rate and client table maintenance, metering record conversion, and security and report generation. Practice the skill presented through demonstrations and class exercises.

This is an intermediate course for the ITUAM 5.1 Chargeback administrator. The ITUAM 5.1 Chargeback administrator assists in the planning, implementing, and the administration of Chargeback policies.


Skills Taught

Identify the modules that make up the ITUAM product and the functions they perform
Describe the format and function of the processing files used by ITUAM
Identify the methodologies used to load cost files into the ITUAM relational database
Create a set of chargeback processing policies using the ITUAM product
Set up account code conversion statements to allow the processing and costing of new metering records
Create Rate Code Table entries to accommodate the costing of new resources.
Implement a shift accounting policy
Set up and maintain statements necessary to convert non-ITUAM data into records that may be used by ITUAM
Implement a rate code normalization policy
Execute a reporting security policy
Generate invoices, top usage, rate table, and custom reports using the Web reporting functionality
