'' Individuals who use IBM TWS for z/OS to plan and schedule batch workload in their installation. Technical support individuals who implement and support IBM TWS for z/OS, including z/OS system programmers and technical support staff members.
Skills Taught
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Use IBM TWS for z/OS dialogs to: - Create scheduling objects in IBM TWS for z/OS databases, including the creation of workstations (z/OS and non-z/OS), calendars, periods, applications, application groups, and special resources - Analyze run requirements and schedule applications - Create IBM TWS for z/OS long-term and current plans for z/OS and distributed environments - Use the IBM TWS for z/OS restart and cleanup function for data set clean up and job restarts - Create and use special resources to manage the use of limited resources and control the start of selected work Install and use the Job Scheduling Console Use IBM TWS for z/OS dialogs and the IBM Tivoli Job Scheduling Console to: - Control and monitor scheduled work in an end-to-end configuration - Add unplanned work to the current plan Use TSO authorized TWS for z/OS commands such as OPSTAT and SRSTAT Use Event Triggered Tracking (ETT) and Dataset Triggering to add work when a file is received Describe IBM TWS for z/OS automated job tailoring feature, which includes: - Automatic editing of Job Control Language (JCL), scripts, and command files - IBM TWS for z/OS JCL variables - The use of the date arithmetic function in IBM TWS for z/OS variables Describe the IBM TWS for z/OS Automatic Recovery function
