'' This is an advanced course for administrators who install, configure, and manage Web-based applications on WAS. A secondary audience is Web masters and application architects.


Skills Taught

Describe the purpose behind automation and the benefits to implementing automated tasks
Describe the technologies used in WebSphere automation
Briefly describe the products that enable WebSphere automation
List the different languages that are supported for WebSphere automation
Use both scripting languages, Java Application Control Language (JACL) and Jython, to execute administrative tasks
Build scripts to create a WebSphere profile and secure it, install an application, and configure applications resources and enable security
Build scripts for creating Datasources, Java Message Service (JMS) queues, Service Integration Bus (SIB) configuration and similar configurations
Create scripts to configure/change a single or multiple enterprise applications
Build scripts to enable application deployment and autodeploy from a source repository such as CVS
