'' The Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) is the de facto transport protocol standard for both public and private networks. It provides the logical foundation protocols for the operation of the Internet. In this three-day introduction to TCP/IP and Web technology, you will define and position the key building blocks in today’s networks and advanced applications, identify critical threats and vulnerabilities, define best practices for perimeter and Web application security, and locate useful tools and techniques for auditing the Web and other TCP/IP applications. Through a combination of detailed discussions and live demonstrations, you will learn how to take advantage of TCP/IP and Web technology, while minimising the hazards of doing business in cyberspace.
Prerequisites: Auditing Networked Computers, Information Security Boot Camp, or equivalent experience in the fundamentals of network security and audit.
