Course Description:

'' The minimum entry requirement for the A Level programme is 4 GCSEs at grades A*-C in appropriate subjects, though exceptions may be made for mature students, and you must have a GCSE in Arabic at grade C or preferably higher, or equivalent. Students who have passed AS Levels elsewhere are welcome to continue their course at West Thames College, though we would need to establish that your AS pass is compatible with the syllabus we offer at A2. You will need to fill in an application form and attend an interview, which will give you the opportunity to ask detailed questions about the course. About the course
The lecturers employ modern teaching methods and materials. A minimum of 16 students is necessary to run the course. A Level Arabic is suitable for those who have completed a GCSE or equivalent in Arabic. You will study the culture of a country where Arabic is spoken, as well as developing your reading, writing, speaking, listening and translation skills. You will be fully trained in examination techniques.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by means of exams in June.

Where next?
A Levels are the main nationally recognised qualification for entrance to a degree programme at university. Most of our A Level students apply to and are offered a place at university. You may wish to go on to further language study at university.
