'' This introductory part-time course in photography leads to a West Thames College Certificate. You will start with the basics and then have opportunities to develop your own ideas and materials independently. The course starts in September, but there may be the opportunity to join in January or April
Who Is This Course For? Students of any age who wish to learn new art and design skills or develop existing skills.
Entry Requirements: There are no entry requirements. If you have any questions about whether the course is right for you, please ask Admissions for advice.
About the course You will study traditional silver based photography, including cameras and lenses and the correct operation/choices, composition and framing, health and safety issues, film types, black and white developing and printing and presentation. Please note that there may be an additional materials charge for this course.
Additional Opportunities There may be visits to specialist suppliers and exhibitions as relevant.
How will I be assessed? There will be an assessment point at the end of each term.
Where next? If you wish to study your chosen subject further, you may go on to part time courses at intermediate level or to a National Diploma in Art and Design if you have the relevant entry qualifications. This could lead to an HND or degree level qualification.
