Course Description:

'' Bookkeeping and Accounts is a short introductory course leading to a City & Guilds Pitman qualification at Level 1. It is designed to develop your abilities within the context of simple sole-trader businesses. Due to popular demand, we are offering an extra session of this course in January 2008. It will be held on Tuesday evenings starting 15 January, or on Wednesday evenings starting 16 January or 23 April.

Who Is This Course For?
Those wishing to gain the first stages in book keeping/accountancy qualifications. The qualification is suitable for anyone looking for a qualification as the starting point for a career in book keeping and accounts..

Entry Requirements:
You will need to fill in an application form and attend an interview, which will give you the opportunity to ask detailed questions about the course. You will be asked to complete a simple diagnostic test to assess which level you should be studying. If you have any questions about whether the course is right for you, please ask Admissions for advice.

About the course
At Level 1 you will learn to process documents using double-entry book keeping, prepare statements as preliminaries to financial control, and display information about businesses’ financial states..
