'' Business, Retail and Administration is a full-time introductory course. It provides the foundation for further study in this area and progression to a career in business planning, administration, office work, marketing, sales, retail, distribution or banking.

Who Is This Course For?
The course is suitable for students who have an interest in pursuing a career in business or retail or those wishing to gain a qualification in this area of work.

Entry Requirements:

About the course
You will develop the skills and knowledge to work in business, administration or retail and work towards literacy and numeracy qualifications. There is a strong tutorial package and additional support is available to help with your studies. The course consists of 3 core units: starting work in business, retail and administration, introducing customer service, and working in business, retail and administration. There are also 2 personal skills units, personal effectiveness and financial management, plus 3 specialist units, communicating effectively at work, introduction to administration, and work experience.

Additional Opportunities
Your course will include trips, visits and work experience opportunities to give you some practical skills.

How will I be assessed?
All units are assessed through practical assignments which are graded and an overall qualification grade calculated from the unit grades.

Where next?
When you complete this course you can go on to a BTEC First Diploma, Intermediate GNVQ, NVQ or into employment if you wish.
