'' This course is for students who wish to learn 3D AutoCAD.
Entry Requirements: You must have some experience and/or a qualification in 2D AutoCAD drawing, preferably (but not essentially) to City and Guilds 4353-02 standard. Access to AutoCAD software outside the college is essential. To ensure you enrol on the correct course for you, you will be asked to undertake a telephone interview/meet with a lecturer.
About the course You will use the AutoCAD R2007 software package from AutoDESK. You will gain some knowledge of DOS commands, learn to use AutoCAD and associated hardware such as plotters and digitisers. In addition to the course fee, you will need to pay a City and Guilds registration fee and exam fee. Assistance may be available to help with these costs.
Additional Opportunities There are no trips or visits on this course.
How will I be assessed? You will be assessed by means of two drawing assignments and a short multiple choice exam paper.
Where next? When you successfully complete this course you will be able to undertake complex drawing and planning assignments in a modern technical or commercial environment.
