'' This course is for students who wish to gain a solid grounding in 2D AutoCAD.
Entry Requirements:
You must have a good understanding of technical drawings, or the ability to read technical drawings and architectural plans. Access to AutoCAD software outside the college is essential. To ensure you enrol on the correct course for you, you will be asked to undertake and telephone interview/meet with a lecturer.
About the course
You will learn DOS commands, how to use AutoCAD R2007 and associated hardware such as plotters and digitisers.

There are no trips or visits on this course.
How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by means of two drawing assignments and a short multiple choice exam paper.
Where next?
When you successfully complete this course you will be able to undertake straightforward drawing and planning assignments in a modern technical or commercial environment. You may also wish to go on to the 3D AutoCAD course.
